Female Faces of War: The Untold Story
Personal stories of refugees and returning warriors blend into a poignant exploration of the impact of war on women. The film creates a vivid glimpse into the everyday lives of female soldiers on the front lines, military families, and Iraqi women in the depths of war. Skillfully interwoven interviews reveal these as our stories as women, showing our common human connectedness and the devastating long term costs of war.
Female Faces of War premiered at the 2009 Seattle Human Rights Film Festival to a standing room only audience. It was shown as one of three films shown on Stop Violence Against Women Night. It has been actively used in universities and screened at community events including the Clowes Center for the Study of Confilct and Dialogue at the University of Washington.
